Hello!

I'm Xiyu—you can also call me Cathy. I'm an illustrator and visual artist graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art.

 

I have always been obsessed with history, culture, philosophy, and the big questions of the universe. I use watercolor, pastel, digital tools, and mixed media to create atmospheric artwork that tell stories and promote cross-cultural dialogue. To me, art goes beyond aesthetics and serves as a bridge for education and cross-cultural dialogue. Whether reimagining ancient stories or transforming complex ideas into accessible visuals, my goal is to spark curiosity and foster connections.

 

Outside the studio, you'll find me wandering through museums and galleries, getting lost in art history books, or tuning into podcasts on everything from black holes to folklores.
