I'm Xiyu—you can also call me Cathy. I'm an illustrator and visual artist based in Edinburgh, and I'm currently in my third year at the Edinburgh College of Art.

 

I love blending history, culture, philosophy, and the cosmos into vibrant, intricate creations using watercolor, multimedia, and digital media. Art, to me, goes beyond aesthetics—it serves as a bridge for education and cross-cultural dialogue. Whether reimagining ancient stories or transforming complex ideas into relatable visuals, my goal is to spark curiosity and foster connections.

 

Outside the studio, you'll often find me wandering through museums and galleries, getting lost in art history books, or tuning into podcasts on everything from black holes to folktales.
